Legion 484’s New Fence Project

In the spirit of continual improvement and a commitment to maintaining a space that reflects the pride of the community, Legion 484 is excited to announce a recent upgrade to our premises—a brand new fence surrounding the dumpster area. Although this project may not seem that exciting for most people, those of us who have had to deal with the raccoons in our dumpster recently would argue that.

The decision to install a new fence around the dumpster area is more than just a matter of racoons. It’s also about the upkeep of the property and just maintaining a nice and secure facility for veterans. As a hub for veterans and community members alike, the Legion understands the importance of presenting a clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing space for everyone who walks through our doors.

Practicality is at the forefront of this project. The new fence adds an extra layer of safety and security to the dumpster area, helping to ensure that waste disposal remains efficient and controlled (not to mention keeping those trash pandas out). By clearly demarcating this space, the Legion is not only adhering to best practices in waste management but also demonstrating a commitment to the safety and well-being of their members and visitors.

After a meeting with the board members, we decided to go with Longview Fence Company, as they have a long history, not only as a company but as well-known east Texas fence builders. They specifically have quite a bit of expertise and experience in commercial fence building, so it was an easy choice for us.

Every time we make an improvement or an upgrade to our property, we make sure that we think through all the choices and all the possible outcomes before we hire someone and pay out the funds. Since we own the building and don’t have a landlord to complete the work for us, it seemed like the smart thing to do. We made the choice to invest in our dumpster area and the safety of our staff.

The new fence stands tall, encircling the dumpster area; it serves as a visual marker of Legion 484’s commitment to excellence. This small but impactful project is a reflection of the Legion’s broader mission—to create a space that not only honors the legacy of veterans but also actively contributes to the well-being and pride of the local community.

In conclusion, the new fence at Legion 484 isn’t just about securing a dumpster from rodents with opposable thumbs; it’s about securing a future. It’s about creating a space that mirrors the values of the Legion, enhances the overall experience for members and visitors, and stands as a testament to the ongoing progress and pride of this community hub. The fence isn’t just a barrier; it’s a bridge to a future where the Legion continues to thrive and serve as a beacon for veterans and community members alike.
